The Solomons Island Model Boat Club (SIMBC) has a number of sailboat fleets. The Skipjack is our signature fleet and people from all over come to watch them sail at the Calvert Marine Museum http://www.calvertmarinemuseum.com/. These beautiful vessels are handmade taking numerous hours to do so. However, the club is a very diverse group and has expanded into other type sailing vessels as well. Some of the members sail these boats, of varying classes, in both local and national competitions.
